About Scott Wilson

BUFFALO BORN. BUFFALO BUILT.

Scott Wilson isn't a career politician. He's a neighbor, a small business owner, a block club leader, and a lifelong product of Buffalo's neighborhoods.

His Story

Rooted in This City.

Born and raised in Buffalo, Scott Wilson's commitment to this city runs deep. From his early days in the Buffalo Public Schools to his work today as a local entrepreneur, he understands the unique strengths and challenges of our neighborhoods. As the co-owner of a small business and a manager with extensive operational experience, Scott knows firsthand what it takes to balance a budget, manage resources responsibly, and lead teams through complex challenges.

Scott's passion for public service is rooted in his daily life in our community. Serving as Vice President of his local block club in South Buffalo, he has spent years working on the ground to bring people together, improve neighborhood safety, and advocate for civic transparency. He believes that true leadership starts with listening, and that fiscal responsibility and community investment go hand-in-hand.

Scott is running for City Comptroller to bring a fresh, independent perspective to City Hall. His vision is built on accountability, modernizing city operations, and ensuring that every tax dollar is used effectively to build a stronger, more vibrant Buffalo for generations to come.

"I'm not running because I want a title. I'm running because Buffalo deserves a Comptroller who actually knows what it's like to live here, work here, and fight for this city every single day."

— Scott Wilson

What Drives Him

Three Things Scott Believes.

01
01

Government Must Earn Trust

Trust isn't given — it's built through transparency, accountability, and consistent follow-through. The Comptroller's office should be the most trustworthy institution in City Hall.

02
02

Every Neighborhood Deserves Equal Investment

Whether you live on the West Side, the East Side, or South Buffalo, your tax dollars should work equally hard for your street, your school, and your community.

03
03

Independence Is Non-Negotiable

The Comptroller must be a watchdog, not a lapdog. Scott has never taken a dime from political bosses, party machines, or special interests — and he never will.
